As our Head of Business Operations, Jess Allison ensures that we act according to our commitment to being a place where ‘care’ is practised — where we take care in our work, we care about outcomes, and we care for each other.

Jess has over ten years of experience in human-centred design and digital project management; working across the arts and culture sector, with non-for-profits, academic institutions and the commercial industry.

In her previous role as Paper Giant’s Delivery Director, Jess drew upon her experience, her decidedly action-oriented nature and her self-professed status as a project management nerd to hone our internal operations, delivery practice and research operations into a highly-sophisticated and enabling system.

Jess now devises and deploys thoughtful mechanisms and safety nets that establish — a supportive work culture at Paper Giant, that we share our learnings openly with each other, that we maintain a reflective practice, and that we are culturally competent both within our own organisation and when we are working with others. She balances these priorities alongside efficient and cost-effective business operations.

Jess consistently reflects on changes that can be adopted, in our individual lives and as an organisation, to help us achieve a balanced and healthy work-life. She operates according to her belief that we can't have a truly positive impact through our work if we don’t first care for ourselves and each other.
